Friendly Pike fishing match 7th December 2013 8 o'clock draw, 9 o'clock fish. 2 rods allowed NO entry fee but only 10 spaces available, must be booked in with the farm office on a first come first serve basis. Please call 01306 631573.
All Pike fishing rules apply and must have keep nets, Pike over 10lbs will need to be weighed and returned back to the water.
Everything is now slowing down with water temperature dropping although the carp are still feeding strongly- unusually many carp are being caught on dead pike baits!.
Carp are still being caught of the surface with a good old bit of bread, which is amazing to still be happening this late on in the year on Centre lake.
Snake lake is fishing very well with 1.5lb Roach caught on bread punch and caster.
Bean lake certainly made one fisherman happy with 13 catches up to 30lbs, the biggest fish that was caught all year weighed in at 36lb, Common Carp.
Don't forget Paddock lake which is still fishing well and so if you want to enjoy sitting in a nice Autumn suntrap- book a day ticket.
I strongly recommend Snake and Centre lake for a busy day of winter fishing.
All the best to you all and hope preparations for the festive season ahead are all going to plan!!
Happy fishing for the New Year!!
